Having worn glasses since the age of 8 years old, it was always a struggle to play sports, and throughout my school years I was often bullied for wearing glasses. As an adult, it was equally as frustrating as I needed bifocals and contact lenses often left my eyes scratchy, itchy and dry affecting my eye health.
Challenges Related to Eye health Before the Procedure:
As someone who works in the entertainment industry, it was also difficult bracing for long set days where you play characters who do not wear glasses. Contact lenses were clearly not made for these set days where one also often works in challenging landscapes.
First Impressions With Improved Eye Health after lasik
The morning after the LASIK procedure, I felt like I was dreaming. I was searching for my glasses to put my alarm off… (as I did every morning). And suddenly realised I don’t need them on! My vision had already improved and I was amazed that it was also completely pain-free. It was also such a freeing experience driving with absolute clear vision to read signs from afar.
I now have so much more freedom! Everything from working on the computer to gym has become a breeze and even my night vision when driving has improved.
I considered LASIK for so long, and had I known earlier how easy, pain-free and convenient it was I would have done it ages ago! It is one of the best decisions I have made. The entire experience from consultation to testing to the actual procedure was done with the utmost care, extensive testing and professionalism. It truly is worth investing in your vision.
Thinking about how much money I spent on glasses throughout the years, contacts, contact lens solution, and eye drops, I could have easily saved money by doing this procedure sooner.
If you are eligible for LASIK, please invest in your eye health. It is life-changing.

Glasses remain a safe option as they do not involve any medical procedure. LASIK is a lifestyle choice for those seeking unaided vision and may not be suitable if you are content with wearing glasses. Research suggests the cumulative risk of contact lenses may exceed that of LASIK.
