Reasons to get Laser Vision Correction

See Spring Bloom with Lasik

By 23/08/2022January 9th, 2025No Comments

Having LASIK in springs means care-free swimming in summer… With clear vision. One month after your LASIK procedure it is safe to resume swimming, even in the ocean and rivers.

The sooner you have LASIK, the more years you will have to enjoy your new and improved vision. Being young also brings the bonus of eyes that heal and stabilize faster.

The two best ages for LASIK are 18 and 45. 18 Is the youngest age at which you will qualify for LASIK. You will get optimal vision for the longest time possible. At 45, when you need readers, it is once again a great time to have PresbyLasik and have good near and distance vision until old age can lead to cataracts.

Consider LASIK this spring and you don’t even have to worry about: losing or breaking your glasses again; infection due to contact lenses or your booked summer adventure holiday. There often comes a time when glasses and contacts just do not suit your lifestyle anymore.

You may have thought about Laser Eye Surgery before but dismissed it due to cost or fear. If you do some research, you will find that LASIK is one of the safest and most effective outpatient procedures and a lot less intimidating than you once thought.

Disclaimer: Glasses are safe because there is no medical procedure involved. If you are happy to wear glasses LASIK is not for you. LASIK is a lifestyle procedure providing unaided vision. According to research the cumulative risk of contacts may be more than LASIK.

Three-Year Longitudinal Survey Comparing Visual Satisfaction with LASIK and Contact Lenses

Conclusions: Compared with contact lens wear, current LASIK technology improved ease of night driving, did not significantly increase dry eye symptoms, and resulted in higher levels of satisfaction at 1, 2, and 3 years of follow-up. Compared with continued contact lens wear, LASIK significantly reduced the self-reported rates of eye infections, ulcers, and abrasions each year.
